This subcommittee conducts on-going studies and reviews existing and proposed legislation to help control arson. This group evaluates the financial and social impact of governmental activities as they relate to prevention of arson, to detection of the crime of arson, as well as to the enforcement action in response to arson. The Governmental Resources subcommittee seeks information as to current and projected resources available to combat arson in Michigan. This is done in order to assist in formulation of future plans and development of more effective means of reducing or eliminating arson here.
